In the film world I got another background role in a NZ TV show, this time as a barman in a Mexican restaurant for Nothing Trivial, probably little chances of me being seen clearly but I guess we will find out once Season 2 eventually airs. The restaurant is actually really nice, I heard a lot of talk and hype about it from local radio stations and I can see why. They even had Tequila in a glass shotgun barrel, awesome!
Also, my little brother said he saw me as the pirate guy in Go Girls a couple weeks ago so I'm going to try track down a picture otherwise we will have to wait for the DVD to catch a still shot like the Almighty Johnson's season 2 background role. :)

Life.
Move out this Sunday, we looked at the place last Sunday and loved it and had been busy all week liaising with the real estate agent and landlord and tomorrow we get the keys and the place is ours!!! Anyway, needless to say we are very excited for the new place as it has a gym so I can train to be the action star I aim to be and the wife can keep fit, also as there is a nice swimming pool on the grounds too. Behind us the view is of Mount Wellington which is nice and a welcome change from the very stale Arena Hotel we're forced to look at currently. Nothing like a bit of green grass, blue sky and bright sunshine to start your day :) Will take photos once we move in, Money was a bit of issue since we don't have a bond for 2 weeks till we move out from here as Unilodge is based in Australia but thankfully the Landlord likes me and we get along well so am very happy things worked out. But in Life, my life especially, things always work out at the last minute because that's always what I see happening. Your are what you think you are. And I seem to be a happy go lucky last minute guy lol.
Martial Arts.Did some nunchaku training with Sifu on Tuesday night at his place which was cool, learned some new moves and some kill moves to use in movies with the nunchaku (not in street of course), Also did sparring Last night which was great as I haven't really had a go at somebody since November. My fitness was more disappointing than I anticipated and I couldn't link combos like I wanted and I resorted to my tested favorite of kicking and 1,2's which is great to survive but shit if you want to win. I wanted to go all out with minimum 5 hit combo's. But didn't. Got him down a couple times with some solid hits but not as much power as I would have envisioned. Training in the air is nothing like training against a heavy bag (which I can when I move in to the new place, I'm ready to level up!!) Next spar, I'm going to be more fearless/creative, but with anything it takes practice. Next match ;)
And Lastly, Job Hunt.
Trying to find a job at the moment has been put on hold while my internet has been disconnected. I have a had 3 days work part time as a mascot for a local parking company promoting that the existing building is now under new management and wishing people a Happy Easter giving out Easter eggs. (I know that's the rabbits job but nobody minded, I'm cute and cuddly and giving out chocolate, how can you say no? haha) I honestly feel for Darth Vader, it's like a sauna in those suits. But the smiles and giggles from the customers and their kids was worth it. A good all around experience and another odd job to add to my list of what I did before I made my living as an actor/director/producer :)
